Intermediate at Mobtown
The intermediate track is for dancers who have taken classes and are comfortable and experienced in dancing Lindy Hop socially. Student must have a strong understanding of Lindy Hop fundamentals, including swing outs, circle, charleston, texas tommys, turns, and switching between six and eight count moves.
Advanced at Lithuanian Hall
The advanced track is for people who have extensive experience in Lindy Hop. Students should be able to dance with solid technique to a variety of tempos. Auditions are required for anyone who signs up for the advanced track. Auditions will be Friday, September 6th at 7pm at the Mobtown Ballroom.
A note about class levels: While we at the Mobtown Ballroom think it’s great that you all work hard and take your learning seriously, we want to encourage you to approach “levels” with a hefty grain of salt. The Lithuanian Hall is much smaller than Mobtown, which means that most students will be in the intermediate track. Both levels will offer equally valuable information, levels mean nothing, and dancing is supposed to be fun. Please consider how the way you approach classes impacts your experience and the experiences of people around you. Let’s try to take care of ourselves and each other by not taking ourselves too seriously.
