Mark your calendars for Lindy 500, happening September 5-8, 2019! This year’s event will feature world-class instructors Marie N’Diaye, Dee Daniels Locke, Christian Frommelt, and Jon Tigert. The weekend will include over 12 workshops, two track levels, four nights of dancing, and four competitions, all on one of the country’s best dance floors.

Fresh Blood initiative

Continuing the experiment we started last year, we are again adding Friday classes taught by amateur instructors. These classes will be selected from submissions made by you, the people, in order to give new instructors the experience of teaching at an event and students the opportunity to learn from people with fresh ideas. We value the vast levels of experience and expertise in the professional Lindy Hop scene, but we also acknowledge that professionalism can sometimes lead to a homogenous national style. This is Baltimore. We want to push ourselves, and you.

competitions

This year’s competitions will include Strictly Lindy, Invitational Mix and Match, Solo Jazz, and Endurance. Prizes will include passes to other events.
